Description

The prestigious compact walkie-talkie VX-8R/E is a real breakthrough in technology.
The radio station is only 60x95x24.2 mm in size (i.e. 5 mm thinner than the previous model VX-7R!) fits comfortably in your hand. Structurally adapted for outdoor use-shock-resistant and is not afraid of immersion in water (depth of 1m for 30 min. - IPX7 standard). The VX-8R radio station can be taken with you anywhere - it meets the modern requirements in all aspects, including the battery terminals, an external microphone connector, etc.
The front panel made of durable polycarbonate plastic and a cast aluminum housing provide the ability to use the walkie-talkie in the harshest conditions.
Durability and ease of use
The large main tuning wheel and four reliable independent buttons on the side panel make it easy to work with the radio station even with gloves.
The side buttons of the radio station are designed for the four most frequently used functions: PTT, MONI (noise reduction off), VOL and F (function). Each button of the 10-button keyboard has additional working functions that are activated either by pressing the F button on the side, or by pressing and holding the button itself. The large adjustment wheel (with a diameter of 19 mm) is protected from accidental turns, however, it is easy to turn it, even if you are wearing gloves.
LED buttons for receiving and transmitting a high-frequency information LCD display, a reception and transmission indicator, an easy range selection and a bright white LED!
The buttons of the A and B ranges to the left of the LCD display will show TX/PTT (red) and RX/BUSY (green) to alert you about the current operating conditions. To do this, press the button of the required range to change your working frequency band.

Built-in TNC data modem of the AX standard.25 allows you to use the APRS (Automatic Location Transfer System) function. The VX-8R/E radio station supports APRS data transmission of 1200/9600 bits per second (only in the range). You can transmit your location information to other radio stations with the APRS function with the position, speed and direction of movement displayed on your monitor. You will also be able to monitor your movement in the APRS system on the Internet. When receiving signals and information from other radio stations with the APRS system, their locations, directions of movement, messages, distances and icons (43 types), weather information, etc. are displayed on the screen of the VX-8R\E radio station. Up to 40 radio stations and up to 20 messages with unique data of the APRS system are automatically saved in the list. You can also send information without this function, if you enter the data manually in advance.

The VX-8R/E radio station has a completely independent AM/FM receiver and an internal antenna for the best reception of the AM band. FM broadcast stations can be listened to via the stereo output using a headset or earphone, as well as via a Bluetooth headset - "wireless stereo reception" with an additional Bluetooth headset (BH-1) and/or a FEP-4 earphone.

Allows you to listen to AM and FM radio stations while scanning amateur channels. Two independent amateur band receivers allow you to listen to AM or FM stereo broadcast radio stations and scan two different amateur bands (Band A and band B) simultaneously. If the radio station receives a signal on the amateur band A or B, then the broadcasting of the AM and FM radio stations is muted, and you can switch to the amateur band on which VX8-R/E caught the signal.
