Yaesu FT-736R Transceiver for Parts or Repair

Description

Here is a Yaesu FT-736R 144 / 440 transceiver that is not working correctly. It does power up but the receive signals are very weak, and there is no audio on transmit. If the drive is turned up past 4 or 5 watts output, the display goes blank (but still powered up) and power has to be cycled off and on. Unknown if any other functions work or not. The back up battery was removed as part of the troubleshooting process and will need to be replaced. The original failure mode happened when I was listening on 220 and suddenly the display went nuts...scrambled numbers and then went blank. Afterwards it would power up but not work as described above. The instruction manual and the service manual are included. This unit does have the Keyer Unit and the Tone Squelch Unit installed and the instruction sheets are included. The built-in AC supply died years ago...I did order replacement parts for it but never got around to rebuilding it. If you want it I can include it with the new parts. I used an Astron 30 amp ps instead. Sold only for parts or repair - no returns! Shipping to be determined...box is 25lbs and 20x17x10. Cost will depend on your location and method used.
