    Description

Here is an excellent and extremely rare, KAAR KE-23AT receiver that has been
completely restored and working to factory specifications. This is a high
quality design with silky-smooth gear driven main tuning.  The chassis is
painted in gray wrinkle with tube designations silk-screened.
The cabinet has been stripped and finished with a textured powder coat matching
the original production color.  Tubes have been checked or replaced along with any
leaky caps or other out-of-spec components. As a final step, a full alignment has
    been performed.
The "AT" version of the KE-23 is the rarest of the KAAR receivers and includes
an accurate S meter. I'm fairly sure you won't find a nicer one out there.
Comes with a copy of the manual including schematic and alignment instructions.
Also, a three wire AC line cord has been added for grounding safety.
If you're familiar with these radios, you may notice in the picture that the
band-switch knob has been changed to an easier to move, lever style.
The original Kurz-Kasch knob is included, and shown in the picture, if you want
to change it back to "production" spec. Not a big deal. I just found it was
easier to change bands with the lever knob.
Since it has a steel cabinet, this is a heavy radio for just a receiver.
    Figure on around 55 pounds shipped weight and a large 24" X 20" X 15" box.

I usually ship any item the day after receiving the receipt of payment
notice from ebay.  Then, it is in the hands of the delivery service.
The US post office specifies up to 10 days for US delivery of an item shipped
via parcel post.  International air mail can take considerably longer.  So
much so that a tracer cannot even be filed until at least a month after
the ship date.  I have found that recent international air mail shipments
have been taking six weeks or more to arrive.  Even priority mail times have
extended to several weeks.  I didn't earn over 6000 positive feedback's
by cheating people.  Also, eBay's messaging system is NOT infallable.
Please keep this in mind if there is any concern about delivery times.
