Rare 1940’s Hornby O Gauge Open Wagon w/sheet rail/Tarpaulin Support 404844 13T
Description:
Hard to find Hornby Series O gauge Open wagon with sheet rail/tarpaulin support. Made of litho tin, green color. Reads on both sides : “NE/13 T/404844/6-8.” Bottom of chassis is embossed : “Hornby//Made in England by Meccano Ltd.” Includes original warranty written in Spanish.
Made in England by Meccano Ltd., circa 1940's-1950’S.
Dimensions:
5-¾ inches (14.5 cm) long.
Condition:
Some surface rust on links, wheels and sheet rail. Paint is slightly chipped with minimal markings and scratches here and there. Minor dent to one edge next to “6-8.” (see picture # ) Warranty paper is slightly creased with tiny spots and somewhat ripped edges (see picture # .) Otherwise, very fine to excellent overall condition.
